Electorate asked to revive self-help spirit

Nkruma (Ash), November 22, GNA – Idilisu Yakubu, Assemblyman for the Nkruma-Pakyi electoral area in the Atwima-Mponua District, has stressed the need for his people to revive self-spirit to improve upon their living conditions.

The Assemblyman was addressing an impressive ceremony to show his appreciation to the electorate for giving him the mandate. He urged the people to take their destiny into their own hands and embark on a journey of self-improvement since the government did not have the magic wand to solve all their problems for them. Mr Yakubu expressed sincere thanks to the people for electing him and pledged his commitment to his campaign promises. He appealed to contractors in the area to try to finish their jobs within scheduled periods to accelerate physical development in the area.

He urged the electorate to pay their basic rates to enable the district assembly generate more funds to finance development projects.
