Electorate advised against vote selling

Tarkwa (W/R) Nov.12, GNA – Osagyefo Kwamena Enimil V1, Omanhene of Wassa Fiase Traditional Area, on Thursday advised the electorate against allowing politicians to buy their votes in the 2004 General Election. The Omanhene who gave the advice during an interaction with newsmen at Tarkwa, reminded Ghanaians that their vote was their power and should therefore be applied freely and fairly to deepen the country’s infant democracy.

He asked politicians to conduct decent electioneering campaigns to avoid acrimony and violence adding that the country needed peace and stability for national development.

Osagyefo Enimil promised that traditional rulers in the area would not engage in partisan politics but would support parliamentary candidates who would be elected to parliament towards the development of the area.
