Elections within NPP should not cause disunity – Adu-Gyamfi

Enchi(W/R), Oct.10, GNA – Mr. Samuel Adu-Gyamfi, NPP Member of Parliament for Aowin has observed that elections being conducted within the party for new executives should not cause disunity, bitterness and rancour among members. He said members should remain loyal to the party in its efforts to improve the living standards of Ghanaians.

Mr. Adu-Gyamfi was addressing the Delegate’s congress of the Aowin Constituency of the party during which new Constituency Executives were elected at Enchi. He said even though the party since assumption of office had achieved much for the country, there was a lot more to be done and appealed to Ghanaians to return the party to office in 2008. Mr. Adu-Gyamfi said the party’s victory in 2008 would depend on how executives of the party conduct affairs of the party to win more people into their fold. He advised the new executives to see themselves as servants of the party and the people and exhibit high sense of hard work, honesty, dedication and champion the cause of unity and brotherliness among supporters and sympathisers.

Mr. Francis Kwao Cudjoe was elected the new Constituency Chairman, Mr. Enimil Amoah Vice-Chairman; Mr. Oheneba Frimpong, Second Vice-Chairman and Mr. Lord Atta; Secretary. Mr. Wilfred Ntreh, was elected Treasurer, Mr. Ellis Fameah Organiser and Madam Joanna Mokye Women’s Organiser. Mr Yaw Poku, Aowin-Suaman District Electoral Officer conducted the elections. Mr Kingsley Ofori Asante, Aowin-Suaman District Chief Executive commended the delegates for ensuring a peaceful and fair elections and appealed to other Constituencies of the party to emulate them.
