Election 2016: Mahama beats Akufo-Addo in Tamale Prison polling center

President John Dramani Mahama has won the count at the Tamale Prison polling center after the close of poll on Wednesday.

The president beat his contender and leader of the opposition New Patriotic Party Nana Akufo-Addo by 13 votes after securing 44 of the 75 votes cast.

Nana Akufo-Addo only managed 31 votes.

Counting is also underway in some constituencies.
