Ejura/Sekyedumasi Assembly To Purchase Tipper Truck

Ejura (Ash), Aug. 17, – The Ejura/Sekyedumasi District Assembly, has set aside an amount of 110 million cedis for the purchase of a tipper truck to facilitate implementation of projects. It will also procure a tractor and trailer at the cost of 27 million cedis to help farmers in their work and to generate revenue for the Assembly. Mr Charles F. Broni, Ejura/Sekyedumasi District Chief Executive disclosed this at a press briefing at Ejura on avenues being explored by the Assembly to speed up the development of the area. He said the Assembly would this year spend 96.9 million cedis in the construction of a Guest House at Ejura to help ease the accommodation problem that confronts visitors to the area. Mr Broni said the Assembly had projected to undertake a comprehensive housing scheme next year to help provide affordable houses for workers in the district. The DCE said with the decentralisation policy, there has been an influx of workers into the district thus heightening residential accommodation problems.
