Ejisu-Juaben GNFS takes delivery of fire tender

Ejisu (Ash), Oct 10, GNA – The Ejisu-Juaben Municipal Fire Station has taken delivery of a new fire tender to enable fire-fighters to better respond to emergencies. Mr Afrifa Yamoah-Ponko, the Municipal Chief Executive, handed over the vehicle at a ceremony held at Ejisu. He said the government was determined to resource the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) to tackle fire outbreaks and appealed to all, especially the business community, to support the service. He said municipal assembly had sunk a borehole for the GNFS to ensure that personnel have sufficient water for their operations. The Ashanti Regional Fire Officer, Mr Arhin Mensah, praised the government for providing them with fire fighting equipment. He appealed to the public to heed fire education by the GNFS to prevent and bring down fires outbreaks
