Eighty file to contest 30 Nkwanta Assembly seats

Nkwanta (V/R), Aug. 16 GNA – Eighty aspiring candidates have filed their nomination papers to contest the 30 electoral seats in the Nkwanta District Assembly of the Volta Region. Out of the number, seven are women.

Mr Emmanuel Danso Abeam, Nkwanta District Electoral Officer, told the Ghana News Agency that they included 18 incumbent assembly members. He said Brewaniase Electoral Area had two women candidates while Nkwanta West; Odomi/Kue; Salifu/Bontibor; Kpasa West and Kpasa East had one woman each. 16 Aug. 06
