Eight women injured in accident at Yendi

Yendi (N/R), July 6, GNA – Eight market women were on Sunday admitted to the Yendi Government Hospital following injuries they sustained when a cargo truck on which they were travelling to Gushegu market was involved in an accident in the Yendi township. They included Asumah Gbegbepaga, Ashietu Abudullah, Fussena Abukari, Fussena Mahama, Mohammed Wosila and Saibu Fussena. The rest were Nimatu Mohammed and Mohammed Ambiya.

All those who had minor injuries were treated and discharged. According to the driver of the vehicle, Mohammed Iddrisu, 35, he lost control of the steering when he tried to pass by a heap of gravel along the road. The lorry, which fell on the side of the driver, also destroyed a bathroom by the roadside.
