Effutu Municipal Assembly to develop sports

Winneba (C/R) Jan. 4, GNA-The Effutu Municipal Assembly has

decided to support sports development in the Municipality to

provide some avenue for the youth to entertain themselves and

develop their sporting talents.

The Municipal chief Executive, Nii Ephraim made this known at

the Assembly sitting at Winneba.

He said as a start, the Assembly would provide 12 sets of jerseys

and 24 footballs to the 12 competing teams in the town.

He however did not mention the names of the teams.

The MCE said proposal to develop the Advance Park into a

suitable sports arena for sporting activities, would also be brought

to the Assembly for approval.

Nii Ephraim said the Assembly intend to acquire an additional

cesspool Emptier, to procure assorted waste management

equipments as stated in the Medium Term Dev’
