Effutu MCE calls on police to close down video game spots

Effutu Municipal Chief Executive, Nii Ephraim has called on the police to close down video game spots most of which are being used as gambling dens preventing most children from going to school.

Nii Ephraim made the call when addressing a parade of school children to mark the 56th Anniversary Celebration of Ghana’s Independence in Winneba on Wednesday.

The theme for the celebration was “Partnership and innovation for a better Ghana”.

Sixty-eight private and public schools from both basic and senior high schools participated in the parade.

Nii Ephraim said the government had provided a lot of school infrastructure, books and school uniforms, and added that there was the need for teachers and parents to partner the state in effectively using these facilities to transform the lives of the pupil and students.
