Edward Mahama is a saboteur – Hassan Ayariga

The failed presidential candidate of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Hassan Ayariga, has accused his predecessor, Dr Edward Mahama, of sabotaging his 2012 presidential bid.

Ayariga told XYZ News that the four-time presidential candidate “called a few party supporters and parliamentary candidates into his house and told them ‘look I don’t want Ayariga to beat me so please make sure that Ayariga doesn’t beat me because if he does, that will be shameful to my PNC leadership’”.

He also claimed Dr Mahama never responded to any of his calls on him to help him out with the 2012 campaign.

“… It was very sad the way Dr Mahama actually responded to many of the calls that I made to him to help support build the party. Dr Mahama did not even show up as he is showing up now. If you recall, did you hear Dr Mahama speak or campaign in the 2012 general election?”

The PNC performed abysmally in the 2012 elections, a situation Ayariga blames on his predecessor’s alleged sabotage.

Dr Mahama on Monday told XYZ News he may return as in the 2016 elections as a drafted candidate of another political party.
