Educationist urges teachers to work hard

Ayirebi (E/R), April 29, GNA – Madam Victoria Duah, Headmistress of the District Assembly School at Ayirebi, on Tuesday appealed to teachers to work hard to promote education.

Speaking at a teachers’ meeting she said the government had put in place policies that were aimed at enhancing education and it was the responsibility of teachers to complement the government’s efforts.

“Teachers should manage their time effectively and avoid negative attitudes and practices,” she said.

Madam Duah commended the government for instituting the capitation grant that had made a positive impact on education as far as enrolment is concerned.

She called on the government to help improve the working conditions of teachers to boost their morale. Mad Duah appealed to parents and other stakeholders to co-operate with teachers in the training and education of their children, so they could become responsible citizens in future.
