EDUCATIONAL PROGRESS OF SEFWI WENCHI, MY PRIORITY- CEO, D. APAU ENTERPRISE

The Chief Executive Officer of Bibiani based D. Apau Enterprise which deals in sales of building materials who also serves as the Exploration Manager at Asante Gold Chirano Limited, DANIEL APAU has disclosed his commitment to help in the progress of education in Wenchi, a community in the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai municipality of the Western North region.

He revealed this during an interview with *AkuapemHann* an Okyeame Radio correspondent at Wenchi Basic school where he donated learning items to the school. The donation covered kindergarten, primary and the JHS levels.

The materials included stationeries such as exercise books, pens, pencils and sharpeners as well as feeding bottles, bowls, school bags, cookies and drinks for the Kindergarten pupils

He assured that this donation will not be the last since it’s not a maiden initiative and he will always support addressing certain pressing needs of the school and support the pupils in their journey of education.

ERIC KWAME ADINKRAH, Headteacher of Wench M/A JHS expressed his gratitude to Mr Apau for such a philanthropic gesture indicating that his previous donation has helped the school to excel.

He further called on others from the Wenchi town who have made it in life to support the school as they need assistance to maintain the dilapidated primary block.

The Wenchi Electoral Area Assembly Member, Hon. STEPHEN ALAATA eulogized the donor and urged indigenes of the town to emulate him by offering little support they could to the community.

On behalf of Nananom, NANA OSEI GYAMFI II, Apamhene of Sefwi Wenchi reiterated that, the gesture of Mr Apau is worth emulating and advised the pupils to make positive use of the learning materials they had received and to study harder to become useful individuals in the future.
