Educational development needs co-operation of all

Kwanwoma (Ash), Oct 18, GNA – Nana Kofi Agyei IV, Chief of Adum-Kwanwoma in the Atwima-Kwanwoma District, has re-echoed the need for a strong public and partnership to achieve the country’s education agenda.

He said the inadequacy of classrooms, furniture, recreational facilities and other facilities could be better addressed with all hands on deck.

Addressing a dur bar of chiefs and people on Suday, Nana Kofi Agyei said as the country strives to reach middle income status in the near future, the only platform through which the needed manpower could be churned out to spearhead the achievement of those objectives was education. The occasion was planned to coincide with the “Akwasidae”, a sacred day on the Asante calendar. The chief advised his people to refrain from utterances and acts that had the tendency to generate chaotic scenes in the town and to pay their levies.
