Education plays key role in rehabilitation of the disabled

Mampong (Ash), June 11, GNA- Mr Kwaku Adjei Frimpong, Executive Director of Volunteers for Development International (VDI), a non-governmental organisation (NGO), has said education played a key role in the rehabilitation of the handicapped.

He said education was the main solution for probles facing the physically challenged.

Speaking at a seminar organised by the Sekyere West district Society for the Physically Challenged at Asante-Mampong on Friday, Mr Frimpong called for collaboration from all to find ways of aiding the physically challenged to become useful citizens. Mr Frimpong appealed to the district assemblies to make the education of the handicapped their major concerns. GNA
