Education is the responsibility of all – GES

Rev Jonathan Bettey, acting Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has called on all stakeholders in the educational sector support and ensure that quality education is provided in the country.

Speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency in Accra, he said the GES was doing everything possible to ensure that the Ghanaian child receives the kind of education that would make them productive and responsible adults.

Rev Bettey said the provision of good quality education is a collective effort of pupils, parents, teachers and other stakeholders and so there is no need for anybody to blame a particular group of people on the lapses in the education delivery system.

“We must bring our energy and resources on board to ensure that the best of education is churned out for the child”, he said, adding that, “the GES and government would continue to provide the right support for all this to happen”.

Rev Jonathan Bettey, PRO for the Greater Accra Regional Directorate of Education, has now replaced Mr Parker Allotey as acting PRO for the Ghana Education Service.
