Education director appeals for students

Nkoranza (B/A) April 10, GNA – Mr. Kwabena Agyemang-Badu, Nkoranza District Director of Education, has appealed to the authorities of the University of Cape Coast to consider the plight of students of Casely Hayford Hall and recall them. A recent rumpus between some halls at the University of Cape Coast compelled the authorities to send home all students of Casely Hayford Hall until further notice. Mr. Agyemang-Badu, a past President of the Hall said the recent misunderstanding between the students and the authorities was very unfortunate, “especially at this time that everybody is calling for peace and national stability”. He disclosed that past presidents of the hall intended to visit the university to assist in addressing the challenges facing the ‘CASTODIANS’ (as students of the hall are known) and authorities of the university.

Mr. Agyemang-Badu urged students of the hall and the entire institution to exercise restraint and abide by the rules and regulations of the university to ensure peace on campus for effective teaching and learning. “Students of CASFORD hall should remember and live by the motto of the hall, which is ‘The true gentlemen’, as any negative attitudes and practices would be contrary”, the district education director said.
