Edjah Nduom chairs YNC in USA

Second son of the President and Chairman of Groupe Nduom (GN), a multinational conglomerate, Dr. Edjah Nduom, has been elected as Chairman of the Young Neurosurgeons Committee (YNC) of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) in the United States of America (USA).

Subsequently, Dr. Edjah Nduom last Monday, April 24, 2017, led his first meeting as Chairman of YNC of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.

In doing so, son of the celebrated Ghanaian entrepreneur becomes the first African American Chairman in the 26-year history of the committee.

On his Facebook page, Dr. Edjah wrote: “I have big shoes to fill in following my friend and colleague, Dr. Krystal Tomei, in this role, but I am excited by the challenge. Let’s energise the next generation of Neurosurgical leaders!”

The YNC started in 1991 as the idea of many different people. The YNC provides representatives to the AANS leadership.

They develop the future leaders of neurosurgery and provide a channel for young neurosurgeons to impact the direction of the specialty.
