Editors Forum and AIDS Commission hold meeting

The Ghana AIDS Commission (GAC) will on Thursday, September 4, brief the media on how journalists could help sustain public interest and commitment to the national HIV response.

The forum on the theme: ‘Towards an HIV-free generation: the role of the media’, would be organised jointly with the Editors Forum, Ghana (EFG), and would take place at the Press Centre, Accra.

The meeting will afford the GAC leadership the opportunity to keep journalists abreast of HIV and AIDS issues and build their capacity in HIV knowledge as well as national policies.

It is also expected to offer an opportunity for the EFG and the GAC to dialogue on challenges encountered in writing HIV and AIDS news, how best to overcome them and new areas to focus on.

Participants would include editors, news editors, health reporters, features editors/writers and social commentators.
