Eddie Annan appointed NPP Interim General Secretary

Accra, Feb 10, GNA – Mr Harona Esseku, the National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has appointed Mr Eddie Annan, a businessman and the Third National Vice Chairman of the Party, to act as the Interim General Secretary.

A statement issued in Accra on Thursday and signed by Mr Kwadwo Afari, Press Secretary of the NPP, said Mr Annan would act until the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Party met on February 23 to elect one of the national officers to serve the remaining term of the substantive General Secretary, Mr Dan Botwe, who has been appointed the Minister of Information. It said the appointment of Mr Annan had been endorsed by the Steering Committee and expressed the hope that the NEC of the Party would endorse it.
