Ecobank Transnational pulls Accra bourse Index down

Accra, Feb. 21, GNA – The GSE-Composite Index (GSE-CI), the benchmark measure of performance of the Ghana Stock Exchange, fell 7.66 points to close 1,044.40 points from 1,052.06 points.

The year-to-date now stands at 4.44 per cent.

The GSE-Financial Stocks Index (GSE-FSI), which tracks the performance of listed financial stocks, was also down 10.75 points to 1,026.56 points from 1,036.77 points at the previous session, with a year-to-date change of 2.60 per cent.

The only price change stood in the name of Ecobank Transnational Incorporated, which shed GH¢0.01 to GH¢0.14. Market Capitalization closed the session marginally lower at GH¢20,041.35 million.

Total shares traded are 182,049 shares, valued at GH¢65,929.21. More
