ECG Boss Fired

President John Evans Mills has fired the Managing Director of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), Anthony Gyampo. Hutton Mensah has been named in an acting position.

Gyampo was appointed a couple of months back.

The board of the ECG has also been dissolved with immediate effect and a new board has been constituted. It will be chaired by Mrs. Perpetual Darfour.

Other members of the board include the new acting Managing Director Hutton Mensah, Barimah Kwame Nkyi VII, Samual Cudjoe, Bernard Allotey Jacobs, S. S Nanyina, Alfred Agbesi, Engineer Nana Kwame Doodo and Alhassan Abdulai.

The new board will be sworn-in December 6.
