EC Staff Threaten Mass Resignation

Despite clandestine attempts by the Commissioner of the Electoral Commission to over-shadow the moves by its workers to fight for their rights, reports reaching the FREE PRESS indicate that there is still latent tension in the air which suggest that the Electoral Commission is seating on a time bomb.

It is stated that, the Commission and its workers are in deadlock especially over the issues concerning salary and conditions of service and that the workers are ready to quit the Commission.

According to the FREE PRESS , evidence from the Regional branches of the Commission shows that the ‘Red-flag’ is still on and delay in finding possible solutions to the problems they have raised instead of playing dilly dally with them will rather explode the issue.
