EC plans to use ambulances to rig elections for NDC – Ernest Owusu Bempah

The Electoral Commission will provide an ambulance each at every polling station on December 7, for medical purposes – but government critic, Ernest Owusu Bempah has raised an objection to that effect.

The Communications Director of the National Democratic Party (NDP) on NEAT FM’s morning show, dubbed ‘Ghana Montie’ has alleged that the idea of the ambulance is to rig the elections.

According to him, the EC will be using all means to manipulate the election results to favor the incumbent party, but warned that he will protest furiously against such move.

He told host of NEAT FM’s morning show, Kwasi Aboagye that, ambulances that will be provided by the electoral commission at polling stations will carry unauthorized ballot boxes to manipulate figures.

“We will resist any diabolical agenda by the EC to favor the NDC. They have arranged for ambulance to carry out this operation but it won’t work. We will stop and inspect any ambulance at every polling station. No ambulance will be allowed. Ambulance and elections have no related business,” he said.

Ernest Owusu Bempah however called for a “free and fair” election so as the country will continue to enjoy its peace.
