EC boss will be fair – Alhaji Bature

Managing Editor of the Al-Hajj Newspaper, Alhaji Bature, has described Madam Charlotte Osei as a sincere woman who has no plans to rig the impending elections.

The Editor said Ghanaians will rather salute the Commissioner for whoever she declares winner after the 2016 general elections.

According to him, he saw her praying on Monday and her mode of prayer made him realize that there is sincerity in her heart.

“You need to see the woman praying and you will see a determination to leave a lasting legacy for women in this country in her”, he posited, believing that she is honest and sincere.

Speaking as a panelist on Badwam on Adom TV on Tuesday, Mr. Bature was happy that for the first time, Ghana has a Commissioner who has stepped her foot down to disqualify political parties.

“If this woman still remains the Electoral Commissioner, it could be NPP or NDC because NPP and NDC also flout the electoral laws of this country with impunity”, Alhaji noted.

He thence encouraged Ghanaians to dispel the fear and trust the electoral system because it keeps improving.

Mr. Bature explained that the commissioner cannot rig the elections because even before the electoral commissioner gets the results and announce it, the various political parties might have gotten it already.
