Eastern Region NDC thanks all for successful presidential tour

Koforidua, June 7, GNA – The Eastern Regional Secretariat of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has expressed its gratitude to all and sundry for making the three-day tour of the region by Professor John Atta Mills a success. “We will like to thank the noble chiefs, queen mothers and people of the Eastern Region for making the three-day tour of the president a wonderful success.” This was contained in a statement signed by the Deputy Regional Secretary of the NDC, Mr Mathew Mawuena Doh. The statement also thanked the security agencies, the Regional Coordinating Council, government departments, non-governmental organization= s and the media. It said the party was particularly touched by the welcome given to the president on his arrival in the region. The statement said the NDC saw this as a unanimous decision of the people in the region to support the president in the pursuit of the Better Ghana Agenda. It said during the nearly two and years of the presidency of President Mills, he had endeared himself to the people hence the milling crowd that h= e continue to pull during his tour of the country. “His incorruptible nature, high moral principles, untainted political career, modesty and tenacity of purpose were credentials that draw crowds wherever he goes,” the statement said. It said development projects being undertaken in every part of the region were outstanding and unparallel.
