Eastern Region has recorded 104.6 per cent coverage against polio

Koforidua, April 29, GNA- The Eastern Region immunised 635,287 children under five years, against polio, showing an increase of 104.6 per cent over the projected 597,787 children targeted, during the second round of the National Immunisation Programme, which ended in April 10, this year.

The children years were also given vitamin A supplements. The Regional National Immunization Day Coordinator, Mr Thomas Azurago said during the first round of the programme in February, the region recorded 102.9 per cent during which 615,165 children were immunized. 29 April 05
