Eastern Region Chapter of IEES launched

Koforidua, June 4, GNA- The Deputy Eastern Regional Minister, Mr. Gustav Narh Dometey has expressed government’s commitment to partnership with Non Governmental Organisations (NGOs) to promote and provide quality education in the country.

He said the global situation calls for the government to form and strengthen partnership with other agencies so as to improve education in the country.

Speaking at the launch of the Eastern Region Chapter of the International Education and Exchange Services (IEES), an NGO at Koforidua on Friday, he noted that education holds the key to the progress and development of every nation. The ICCE aims to educate people through workshops, conferences, seminars and training programmes, provide moral and educational instructions, and offer opportunities and facilities for International education.

Mr. Dometey urged the education sector to promote international co-operation with a view to promoting Ghana’s interest and co-operation.
