E.T. Mensah must retire honourably – Sam George

A Presidential Aide, Sam George, is passionately appealing to the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for Ningo-Prampram, to retire honourably for the youth of the area to take over the mantle of leadership.

He believes that the continuous stay in office by the incumbent will hamper growth of the area, insisting it was about time for him to bow out for someone like him with new ideas to take over and rebuild the constituency.

“Our dear father E.T. Mensah has done a great service for people of Ningo-Prampram. But we believe that his twenty years of service is enough for him to retire for someone like me with great ambitions to take over and continue the good work that he has done for us,” he noted in an interview with Fiifi Banson on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.3 FM Wednesday.

The former Youth and Sports Minister is seeking a sixth term in Parliament after over twenty years of service to the people of Ningo-Prampram.

But Sam George whom the MP groomed over the years, is seeking to unseat him.

He has in effect picked and filed his nomination to signify his preparedness for the task ahead.

He told Banson that his decision to contest E.T. Mensah at ruling National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) upcoming Parliamentary primaries has given hope to the people of Ningo-Prampram.

He is convinced of winning the mandate of the people to represent the NDC as its parliamentary candidate for the 2016 general elections.

The NDC goes to the polls on November 7, 2015, to decide on Presidential and Parliamentary candidates that will represent the party in the 2016 general elections.
