A worker with Zoomlion Company Limited Samuel Sefa has committed suicide by hanging himself on a tree near a school at Estate, a suburb of Asamankese in the Eastern region.

The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Asamankese Government Hospital morgue pending autopsy.

It is, however, not known why Sefa committed the act but family sources told Starr News that the deceased had been complaining of financial problems which was recently worsened by his wife’s sickness which has left her bedridden.

The deceased left behind a wife and three children.

The Asamankese District Police Commander, Superintendent Anane Appiah narrated that the Police received information from the community around 9 am Thursday about the incident.

He said Police personnel were dispatched to the crime scene and after taking inventories removed the body from the tree to the hospital morgue.

He added that the police has commenced investigations into the matter.
