E/R: Two kids burnt to death at Agormanya

Two children have been burnt to death at Agormanya-Blotsi in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality of the Eastern region.

The incident occurred at about 9:30pm on Tuesday.

According to an eyewitness, the two children were trapped in the blaze whiles their parents were away from home.

Their mother, a nurse, was attending to natures call while their Police officer dad was on duty at a post in town.

The woman returned only to see her kids trapped in the blaze but was helpless. Reports say she almost got drowned by the raging fire when she attempted to rescue her children. She is reportedly on admission at a hospital following injuries she sustained in her rescue attempt.

Police in the area have commenced investigations into the incident whiles the bodies of the deceased have been conveyed to the morgue.
