E/R Minister presents water tanks to Water Company

Koforidua, March 21, GNA — The Eastern Regional Minister, Miss Patience Adow, on Monday presented nine water tanks valued at 18 million cedis on behalf of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) to the Ghana Water Company Limited at Koforidua.

The tanks would augment the others already placed at different parts of the municipality to enhance water distribution to residents. Presenting them, Miss Adow, who is the Regional NADMO chairperson, said the Regional Co-ordinating Council was also working out a mechanism to get regular water tanker services for suburbs yet to be covered under the new arrangement.

Miss Veronica Kufour Boateng, Eastern Regional Director of GWCL, hoped that all things being equal, this could be the last water crisis to hit Koforidua. She thanked Miss Adow for her untiring efforts to get the problem solved.
