E/R: Family of five found dead at Yawkyeremakrom

A family of five has been found dead at Yawkyeremakrom, a suburb of New Juaben in the Eastern region.

The deceased, include a couple and their three children. The identity of the parents has been given as Janet, 40, and Kwasi Asare, 50. The children are Ella, 15, Edmund,13 and Ohene,7.

They were found lifeless in their room by co-tenants Wednesday morning, Starr News’ Eastern regional correspondent Kojo Ansah reported.

Officials of the Police and fire service are currently at the scene working to convey the bodies to the mortuary.

It is unclear the circumstance surrounding their deaths, but eyewitnesses say the bodies appear as though they were acid-bathed. Unverified accounts also suggest the man stabbed his wife before a fight ensued between them.

The Police in the area have commenced investigations into the matter.
