E.P Church calls for peaceful elections

Accra, Nov. 23, GNA – Reverend Daniel. Y. Bruce of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, on Saturday called on Ghanaians, especially politicians to ensure peace during the December elections. The clergyman who was speaking at a breakfast meeting on peaceful elections, under the theme: “The Need for Peace”, in Accra, warned against any deliberate attempt by individuals or groups to ignore the call for peace.

Rev. Bruce urged Ghanaians to collaborate with the Electoral Commission and other stakeholder in the electoral process for credible polls. Presbyter Emmanuel Danku, president of West Volta Presbytery Presbyters Union, urged Ghanaians to elect faithful, humble and wise persons as leaders on December 7. He called for peaceful elections saying women and children were always most affected during political violence. 23 Nov. 08
