Dzorkpe wins Ho-East NPP Primary

Adaklu-Waya, (E/R), April 30, GNA – Mr Dickson David Dzorkpe, on Saturday won the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Ho-East constituency primaries by popular acclamation, to contest the 2012 parliamentary elections for the seat.

The 63-year-old Accountant told the 284 delegates that 93I am poised to take the seat from the NDC in the Ho-East, come 2012.” He called on NPP activists to woe the support of members of other political parties, including the National Democratic Congress NDC), Convention Peoples’ Party.

He observed that developments in the NDC offered a good opportunity for the NPP to win the confidence of the electorate, especially the floating voters in the constituency.

Mr Evans Anyadi, NPP Constituency Chairman , said that NPP was developing strategies to help the party maximize its votes in the Volta Region 2012.

He said that it was strange that in past elections the NPP had no votes in some polling stations, alleging that some party activists were rather infiltrators working against the NPP. 30 April 11
