Dzogbenuku to Voltarians: NDC doesn’t value your votes

The votes given to the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) by the people of the Volta Region has not been reciprocated through development of the region, Vice Presidential nominee of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Brigitte Dzogbenuku has indicated.

For her, the actions of the NDC demonstrate the party’s priorities and the kind of value placed on the massive support it enjoys from the region.

Ms Dzogbenuku said the NDC has neglected the region for far too long, adding that it was about time the people got angry and took their destinies into their own hands by voting the party out.

“Often NDC calls the Volta as their world bank of votes but do you feel valued, if you truly are their world bank they will value your support for them and also give you something in return. As we sit here, ask yourself: how has your vote for the NDC benefitted you and your families?’’ she quizzed.

To her, it is only a Progressive People’s Party (PPP) government headed by Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom that can bring real change in the lives of Voltarians and thus urged them to make a switch come December 7.

Ms Brigitte Dzogbenuku was in Galo Sota in the Anlo constituency of the Volta region on Friday August 26 for the campaign launch of Francis Tamakloe who is seeking to represent the constituency in parliament on the ticket of the PPP.

She told a gathering of supporters that “we are the party with a demonstrable track record in job creation and good policies to transform Ghana with pragmatic and competent leadership’’.

For his part, the party’s parliamentary nominee urged the people of Anlo to reject the incumbent MP, Clement Kofi Humado, who, in his own estimation, has failed.

“I am pleading with you to critically examine Clement Humado who has been our MP for so long, what has he done for the good people of Anlo, I am urging you to vote for change, change you can experience and feel in your pockets and lives. Let us reject the NDC for they have taken us for granted for far too long,’’ he urged.
