DWM supports Kumasi Children’s Home

Kumasi, May 16, GNA – The 31st December Women’s Movement (DWM) on Tuesday presented two million cedis to the Kumasi Children’s Home in Kumasi.

The donation formed part of activities to mark the silver jubilee celebration of the Movement.

Mrs Joanna Appiah-Dwomo, executive member of the Movement in the Ashanti Region, making the presentation said it was the movement’s contribution towards the upkeep of the children. She stressed the need for mothers to play positive roles in the upkeep of their children at all times.

Madam Victoria Asugnya, Supervisor in-charge of the Home, who received the gift, thanked the Movement for the gesture. She appealed to churches, individuals and non-governmental organizations to emulate the example and donate generously towards the maintenance of children at the Home.
