Dutch benefactor donates computers to school

Techiman (B/A) July 10, GNA – Mr. Robert Delien, a Dutch, has donated seven computers worth 10 million cedis to Pentecost Preparatory School in Techiman in Brong-Ahafo.

Madam Janet Twene-Ampomah, Headmistress, told the Ghana News Agency that the donation was the outcome of negotiations between the school management and Nana Asare Twi-Brempong, Adontihene of Techiman Traditional area towards its development.

She said the computers would tremendously help to raise the academic standards of the pupils, especially in integrated science. Madam Twene-Ampomah lauded the efforts of the chief in the promotion of education in the area.

Apostle Joseph Albert Mensah, Local Manager of the school said an 80- million cedi computer laboratory complex that would contain about 40 Computers had been completed.

He said the school’s management committee, the local manager and the staff funded the project.
