Dunwell Methodist women give to children’s home

Kumasi, March 15, GNA – The Women’s Fellowship of the Dunwell Methodist Church at Dichemso in Kumasi, on Saturday donated food items valued at GH¢1,000 to the Kumasi children’s home. The items included five bags of perfumed rice, a bag of sugar, ten crates of ideal milk, two boxes of key bar soap, four boxes of calypo juice, five boxes of biscuits and toilet rolls. Speaking at the presentation, Mrs Freda Ansah-Nimako, President of the Association, said the donation formed part of the activities marking the 45th anniversary of the Fellowship. She said as women, they were concerned about the plight of the children and hoped the items which were basic daily needs would help the children to enjoy normal life.

Mrs Ansah-Nimako said the association would continue to assist the home and appealed to other organizations and philanthropists to also do same. Madam Theresa Tengey, Senior Child Care Officer at the home, who received the items, said the donation had come at an opportune time since the children were in dare need of groceries.
