‘Dumsor’ to worsen as Nigeria cuts gas supply to Ghana

The current energy crisis in the country is likely to worsen in the coming days as Starr News can confirm that Nigeria has cut gas supply to Ghana.

The situation, has been occasioned by a protest currently being staged by staff of the Nigerian Gas company.

Confirming the development to Starr News the Corporate Affairs Manager of the West Africa Gas Company Harriet Wireku-Brobbey said the workers of the gas company in the West African country are on strike.

Nigeria was supposed to send 123 million cubic feet of gas to Ghana but it is only able to supply around 49 cubic feet of gas.

Starr News can also confirm that officials of the energy ministry are currently locked up in a meeting over the issue.
