Duke Williams Foundation to build ultra-modern school for Nkatsim

Nkatsim (C/R), July 5, GNA – The Duke Williams Foundation for hope and charity, a Non Governmental Organization (NGO), has cut the sod for the construction of a US$30,000 ultra-modern basic school complex for the Nkatsim community in the Ajumako Enyan-Esiam district of the Central Region.

The school complex expected to be completed by the end of this year, comprises facilities such as library, ICT centre, staff common room, toilet and bath houses.

Chief Executive Officer (ECO) of the Foundation, Mr Duke Williams, who performed the sod-cutting ceremony shortly after his installation as development chief of the town, assured the people of his preparedness to improve education in the area.

He used the occasion to appeal to parents to send their children to school in order for them to grow into responsible adulthood.

The US Country Director of the Foundation, Madam Maggie Smallwood, who assisted Mr Williams to perform the ceremony, said the Foundation would do all it could to better the academic fortunes of children in the area.

She, therefore, asked the school children to take their education seriously and contribute to the growth of the area.
