The chief reminded parents in the area that bye-laws instituted by the Traditional Council were meant to instil discipline in the youth by forcing them to stick to their books in the evenings and to help mould their characters.

He advised school children not to indulge in immoral practices, like sex, in order to avoid contracting HIV/AIDS. The new queenmother pledged to lead the people to initiate projects to help speed up the area’s development.
