Drivers urged to be extra careful during the yuletide

Twifo Praso (C/R) Dec. 21 GNA- Mr Stephen Delarporte, Twifo Praso District Police Commander on Tuesday, appealed to drivers in the district to be extra careful to make the yuletide accident free.

Addressing members of Twifo Praso branch of GPRTU and Protoa at Praso, he urged the drivers to be vigilant and assist the police in detecting crime by reporting all suspected criminals to the nearest police station. He attributed the high incidence of road accidents to indiscipline, lack of maintenance of vehicles, and unnecessary overtaking by drivers.

Mr Delarporte therefore asked them to obey all traffic regulations and be courteous to passengers and advised passengers to endeavour to board vehicles at the appropriate lorry stations.
