Kumasi, March 24, GNA – A Kumasi circuit court has sentenced a 28-year-old driver’s mate to four years’ in prison for stealing. Osmanu Yusif pleaded guilty to the charge.
Prosecuting, Chief Inspector Janet Oseiwaah told the court that on March 16 the complainant, Abubakar Sadiq, a tailor at Moshie-Zongo in Kumasi, detected that his television set was missing from his shop. The prosecutor said the complainant was informed by someone that he spotted Yusif boarding a tro-tro with a television set that day and heading for “Dr Mensah” area near Kejetia.
He said the complainant followed up and found the television set in a shop and when the shop owner was questioned he mentioned Yusif as the one who brought the television to the shop.
