Accra, Nov. 24, GNA – An Accra Circuit Court on Wednesday remanded in prison custody a driver’s mate for allegedly defiling and impregnating a 15 year-old girl.
Eric Mustapha pleaded not guilty to the charge and is to re-appear before court on November 29 this year.
The Prosecutor, Inspector Emmanuel Teye Boison, told the court that the victim, a 15-year-old pupil and the accused both lived at Mallam in Accra and hailed from the same town in the Central Region.
About a year ago, the accused person met with the victim in their hometown and proposed love to her and she agreed.
Later, the victim realised she was three months pregnant and named Mustapha as the person who was responsible but he denied it. The case was reported to the Women and Juvenile Unit of the Police and Mustapha was arrested. 24 Nov. 04
