Drivers in Twifo Praso Area Breathe a Sigh of Relief as DVLA Office is Established – DCE

The District Chief Executive for Twifo Atti-Morkwa District, Hon. Isaac Yawson, has announced a significant development for drivers in the Twifo Praso area and surrounding communities, including Assin Fosu, Hemang Lower Denkyira, and others.

Drivers will no longer have to undertake the long and arduous journey to Dunkwa or Cape Coast to register their vehicles, renew licenses, or complete other driving-related formalities.

The establishment of a new DVLA office in the district, staffed by a dedicated officer, marks a major breakthrough in improving access to essential services for drivers. Hon. Yawson praised the efforts of the Member of Parliament for the area, TD. Vondee, and the Council of State member, Hon. Hakim, for their tireless advocacy and lobbying that made this achievement possible.

The DCE assured the new DVLA officer of full support from the district assembly, promising to provide the necessary resources and environment for effective operations. This initiative is expected to not only ease the burden on drivers but also contribute to improved road safety and compliance with driving regulations in the district.

The opening of the DVLA office is a welcome development for the local community, and residents are hopeful that it will bring about increased efficiency and convenience in accessing driving-related services. By bringing these services closer to the people, the district assembly aims to promote economic activity and enhance the overall quality of life for residents.
