Driver in court for defiling his “master’s” daughter

Accra, July 6, GNA – An Accra Circuit Court on Monday remanded into Police custody a 30-year-old taxi driver for allegedly defiling his vehicle owner’s daughter aged 15.

David Amoah, aka Attah, whose plea was not taken, has been charged with defilement. He will re-appear on July 20.

Assistant Superintendent of Police Lawrence Gbele, the prosecutor, told the court that Amoah a driver of the victim’s father lived with them at Taifa in Accra.

He said at about 11:00 am on July 1, this year, Amoah realizing that victim’s father had left home lured her into his room and defiled her.

The prosecution said victim’s younger brother who was looking for her entered Amoah’s room and saw them in the act. He said victim’s brother left the room unnoticed went for a piece of paper and wrote down everything he saw. The prosecution said when his father arrived, the boy handed over the paper to him and after reading the contents reported the matter to the Police. The prosecution said investigations were ongoing.
