Driver fined for operating with inappropriate driving licence

Tema, Aug 13, GNA – The Tema Circuit Court ‘A’, has imposed a fine of 500,000 cedis on a driver for driving with an inappropriate license. Charles Boateng who pleaded guilty for driving a taxicab with license ‘D’ which was meant for private cars would be jailed for six months in default.

The Court had also issued a bench warrant for the arrest of Bernard Dodzi, a driver who failed to appear before it, for careless driving. Inspector Sarah Aggrey Acquah told the Court that on June 16, 2004, Bernard grazed the side of a taxicab with a vehicle he was overtaking.
