Driver fined for obstruction

Tarkwa, May 25, GNA – A Tarkwa circuit court has ordered a 30-year-old driver, Solomon Quaye to pay Gc180 or in default 30 days imprisonment for obstruction. He pleaded guilty.

Police Chief Inspector Edward Paddy told the court that on May 24, the Divisional Police Commander of Tarkwa was on Police vehicle from his residence towards the Tarkwa Divisional Police office. On reaching Tarkwa the convict, who was driving a taxi, stopped suddenly in front of the commander’s vehicle to pick a passenger and nearly caused an accident.
