Driver fined five million cedis for causing harm

Tema, May 22, GNA- A driver who negligently caused harm to a seven-year-old girl has been fined five million cedis by the Tema circuit court “A”.

Gustave Attachey pleaded guilty and will go to prison for two years if he fails to pay the fine. Inspector Adolphus Otchere told the court that on June 7, 2002, at about 1645 hours, the driver, in charge of an Opel Vectra with passengers on board from Accra to Aflao hit Attaa Tetteh, the victim who was trying to cross the road at Dawhenya

Inspector Otchere said the victim sustained severe injuries and was rushed to the Tema General Hospital where she was admitted.
